Color contrast in the Canva app is now calculated using the standard WCAG formula — not estimated by AI. That means precise, reliable results when contrast is flagged in a review.
This release also includes a clearer context input placeholder and more specific error messages for edge cases like a failed or interrupted review.
A note on why Canva updates tend to lag behind: their review process is thorough, and on top of that they run their own translation process, which can take more than a week on its own.
